Amid Jefferies downgrading VIVUS (Nasdaq: VVUS) earlier on risk of generic prescriptions, peers are feeling the pressure Friday morning.

Shares of VIVUS are down over 6 percent, while Arena Pharma (Nasdaq: ARNA) down about 1 percent and Orexigen (Nasdaq: OREX) is flat, for now.

Recently, VIVUS won FDA approval for its obesity pill Qsymia, while Arena's weight-loss drug BELVIQ was approved by the FDA in June. Orexigen has Contrave in the works, with testing for the effects of its drug on the heart ongoing.
