Urban Outfitters (URBN) Rips Higher; Tops Q2 EPS Views as Comps Rose 4%

Urban Outfitters (Nasdaq: URBN) shares are ripping higher in late trading following stronger-than-expected Q2 results.

Sales rose 11 percent to $676.3 million while net income improved 8.1 percent to $61.3 million, or 42 cents per share. Comps rose 4 percent in the period.

The Street was expecting EPS of 33 cents on sales of $671.6 million.

Shares are up 11 percent following the strong report.
