Traders in Polypore (PPO) Respond to Reports of Strong Volt Sales in California (GM)

Shares of Polypore (NYSE: PPO) are now up more than 3 percent as the Detroit Free Press is running an article entitled "California can't get enough of the Chevy Volt as sales surge." Polypore is a provider of specialized microporous separators for the Volt.
The article attributed Californian's interest in the Volt to special state incentives for electric vehicles and gas prices which remain above $4/gallon all along the west coast.
After trading in negative territory throughout much of Tuesday's session, Polypore shares last traded at $35.09.
Notably, shares of GM (NYSE: GM) are unchanged following the Detroit Free Press article.
