K-V Pharmaceutical (KV-A) Up, Watson Pharmaceuticals (WPI) Down on FDA Panel Comments Over Columbia Labs’ (CRBX) on Preterm Birth Gel
Shares of K-V Pharmaceutical (NYSE: KV-A) closed up 8.81 percent to $2.10 after spiking as high as $2.28 on news that the FDA panel declared Columbia Labs’ (Nasdaq: CRBX) data on preterm birth gel wasn’t sufficient.
Shares of CBRX have been halted since the opening bell on anticipation for the results, while on the other side of the trade shares of Watson Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: WPI) closed down 3.5 percent.
The panel voted 13 to 4 in favor of not supporting the preterm birth gel.
