Bulk Shippers Outperforming as BDI Spikes 4% (DRYS, DSX, EXM, more)
The Baltic Dry Index, which tracks day-to-day shipping rates used by dry bulk shippers worldwide, is jumping sharply today, currently up more than 4%, or 122 points, to 3,097. As the BDI rises, so do the rates at which bulk shippers charge their customers, and so the rise is also lifting stocks in the sector today.
