Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook was criticized for earlier emailing CNBC’s Jim Cramer with an update on its operations in China. The email has raised questions about selective disclosure and was seen by some as a sign of panic.
Cook told Cramer growth in iPhone activations accelerated over the past view weeks and said Apple has had the best performance of the year for the App Store in China during the last 2 weeks.
Some see the e-mail as a violation of Reg FD.
The e-mail helped boost Apple's stock from a plunge of over $13 to a gain on the session.
