Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, a division of Wyeth (NYSE: WYE), today announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase ThermaCare(R) from Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG). The transaction is expected to close within the next few months.
ThermaCare fits Wyeth Consumer Healthcare's strategy to accelerate growth through innovation, organic geographic growth and strategic acquisitions in the division's base business.
Wyeth engages in the discovery, development, manufacture, distribution, and sale of pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, and animal health products.
