Watson Wyatt Worldwide (NYSE: WW) today announced the acquisition of Marcu & Asociados, a top HR and financial services consulting firm in Argentina. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Marcu & Asociados provides services in the area of compensation consulting, salary and benefit surveys, employer healthcare consulting, pension plan consulting and administration, and insurance company actuarial services. It employs a staff of 37 associates, all of which are located in Buenos Aires.
The deal continues Watson Wyatt's steady expansion in Latin America. In the last three years, Watson Wyatt has opened a consulting office in Chile and a research services center in Uruguay, and now augmented its resources in Argentina.
