Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD) 21.9% LOWER; expects to report revenue ranging between $23.5 million to $25.0 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 ending on March 31, 2008. (Consensus is $32.33 million) Chordiant also expects to report a Non-GAAP loss per share is expected to be between ($0.11) and ($0.06) for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 compared to non-GAAP net income per share of $0.19 for the same period of fiscal year 2007 and $0.05 for the first quarter of 2008. (Consensus is $0.11 profit) Chordiant also expects to report a cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash balance of approximately $70.0 million at March 31, 2008, as compared to the $87.4 million reported at December 31, 2007. This change includes cash used for the share repurchase program.
Force Protection (Nasdaq: FRPT) 20.3% HIGHER; as shares have fallen about 70% from around $5 at the beginning of 2008 to a recent low on March 17, today's move could be due to a short squeeze on the stock.
