UPDATE: Sprint (S) Owner Softbank Said to Still Holdout Hope for T-Mobile (TMUS) Deal

Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) owner Softbank (OTC: SFTBY) issaid to still holdout hope for a T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) deal, according to Bloomberg.

UPDATE - Softbank owns over 80 percent of Sprint after acquiring the stake in 2013.

Softbank could make a move after a new FCC head is named, which will come with the election of a new U.S. president. Softbank's prior effort to acquire Sprint was thwarted by regulatory concerns from the FCC and Department of Justice.
