UPDATE: Informatica (INFA) Ramps on Takeover Chatter

Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA) higher on takeover chatter.

UPDATE: According to reports from Reuters, Silver Lake and Hellman Group are said to be preparing bids for the company.

In January, it was reported that the company hired Qatalyst Partners to find buyers. Follow-up reports suggested that the sales process was abandoned in January and then revived again in mid-February. Also in January, Elliott Associates filed a 13D on Informatica showing an 8% stake.
