Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) 22.1% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.45, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $5.45 billion, which compares to the estimate of $5.03 billion. Sees Q4 sales of $8.125 - $9.125 billion, versus the consensus of $8.11 billion.

Elan (NYSE: ELN) 21% LOWER; European regulators have begun their risk/reward analyst for Elan and Biogen's (Nasdaq: BIIB) Tysabri.

Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE: SNV) 21.2% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $1.27, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.67).

Columbia Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBRX) 18.9% LOWER; today announced that it has priced a transaction to raise up to approximately $11,772,000 through the sale of up to approximately 10,900,000 shares of its common stock and warrants to purchase 5,450,000 shares of its common stock in a registered direct offering. The common stock and warrants will be sold in units, with each unit consisting of one share of common stock and a warrant to purchase 0.5 shares of common stock. Each unit will be sold at a negotiated price of $1.08 per unit. Net proceeds are expected to be up to approximately $10,709,000 after offering-related fees and expenses.

Ramtron International Corp. (NASDAQ: RMTR) 17.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.01, compared to $0.05 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $11.29 million, which compares to the estimate of $11.03 million.

Sterling Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: STSA) 17% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $8.93, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.68).

Compuware Corp (NASDAQ: CPWR) 16.2% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenue for the quarter was $217.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $201 million.

Bottomline Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: EPAY) 15.9% HIGHER; reports Q1 core EPS of $0.27, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter was $36.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $35.5 million.

Dynavax Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: DVAX) 15.6% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.24, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.16). Revenue for the quarter was $2.90 million, which compares to the estimate of $6.70 million.

Healthways Inc (NASDAQ: HWAY) 14.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter was $181.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $169.56 million. The stock was also upgraded at Jefferies and Piper Jaffray.

Select Comfort Corp. (NASDAQ: SCSS) 14.2% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.15, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter was $147.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $134.33 million. Select Comfort sees FY EPS $0.02-$0.08, versus the consensus of a loss of $0.02.

Amcol International Corp. (NYSE: ACO) 13.3% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.48, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenue for the quarter was $190.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $186.05 million.

Avid Technology Inc (NASDAQ: AVID) 13.3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.02, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter was $153.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $159.45 million.

Warren Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ: WRES) 13.2% LOWER; announced today that it has priced its previously announced public offering of 11,775,000 shares of common stock, at a price of $2.60 per share, for proceeds of $30,615,000 before underwriting discounts and offering expenses. The transaction is expected to close on or about October 28, 2009, subject to customary closing conditions.

Interactive Brokers Group In (NASDAQ: IBKR) 13.1% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.20, 11 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenue for the quarter was $272 million, which compares to the estimate of $297.60 million. The stock was also downgraded at Pali.

Power-One, Inc. (NASDAQ: PWER) 12.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.03, compared to $0.02 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $100.13 million, versus $140.06 million in Q308.

SunPower Corporation (Nasdaq: SPWRA) 12% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.42, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter was $466 million, which compares to the estimate of $420 million. See FY09 EPS of $1.15-$1.25, versus the consensus of $1.21. Sees FY sales of $1.425-$1.5 billion, versus $1.43 billion.

VCA Antech, Inc. (NASDAQ: WOOF) 11.4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.42, 1 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.43. Revenue for the quarter was $338.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $349.03 million. Vca Antech sees FY EPS of $1.52-$1.56, versus the consensus of $1.58.

Riverbed Technology Inc (NASDAQ: RVBD) 10.6% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.19 adjusted, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter was $102.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $97.07 million.

Broadcom Corp. (NASDAQ: BRCM) 9.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.16, which may not comapre to the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $1.25 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.16 billion. Sees Q4 revs unchanged versus Q3.

Rightnow Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: RNOW) 9.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.12, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter was $38.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $37.7 million. Rightnow Technologies sees Q4 EPS $0.04-$0.06, versus the consensus of $0.06.

Capital One Financial Corp (NYSE: COF) 9.2% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.03, versus the analyst estimate of $0.14.

CA, Inc. (NYSE: CA) 9.1% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.42, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter was $1.07 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.07 billion. Sees FY10 EPS at $1.60 - $1.70 adjusted, versus $1.67. Revenues at $4.3 - $4.4 billion, versus $4.34 billion previously.

Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG) 8.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.34, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter was $810 million, which compares to the estimate of $838.47 million. Leggett & Platt bumps FY09 EPS to $0.65-$0.75, versus the consensus of $0.64.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) 8% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.55 adjusted , 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.46. Revenue for the quarter was $423.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $419.85 million. Sees Q4 Sales between $440 million - $446 million, versus $441.6 million.
