Manitowoc (MTW) and Enodis plc Receive Antitrust Clearance from DOJ for Proposed Acquisition

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (NYSE: MTW) and Enodis plc today announced that the necessary antitrust clearance from the United States DOJ in connection with Manitowoc's proposed acquisition of Enodis has today been obtained.

Enodis and Manitowoc have reached an agreement with the DOJ that will allow the completion of the Acquisition. Under the terms of the Proposed Final Judgment and the Hold Separate Stipulation and Order, which were signed and filed today in the U.S. Federal District Court in Washington, D.C., Enodis and Manitowoc have agreed to divest Enodis' ice machine operations in the United States following completion of the Acquisition.

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. engages in the manufacture and sale of cranes; foodservice equipment; and commercial, research, and military ships.
