Liberty Global Inc. (NASDAQ: LBTYA) is considering a bid for the No. 3 German cable operator Kabel Baden-Wuerttemberg, according to a report from Bloomberg on Tuesday citing people familiar with the situation.
The sources said that the company is weighing the ability to combine is Unitymedia GmbH with Kabel BW as the deal may face potential antitrust hurdles.
Liberty has hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS) to advise on a possible bid, according to the report.
