Golar LNG Ltd. (GLNG) to Sell Nusantara Regas Satu Interests in $385M Deal w/ Golar LNG Partners (GMLP)

Golar LNG Limited (Nasdaq: GLNG) has entered into an agreement to sell the ownership interests in the companies that own and operate the floating storage and regasification unit Nusantara Regas Satu to Golar LNG Partners L.P. (Nasdaq: GMLP) for a price of USD385 million. The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions.
The Company expects to reinvest a significant part of the net proceeds received from the sale in new LNG carriers and FSRU's.
The Board believes that the transaction is a further testament to the strength and efficiency of the Golar group's corporate structure which allows monetisation of long term contracts whilst at the same time providing growth of Golar LNG Partners.
