Eisai has announced that it signed a product acquisition agreement with Ligand Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: LGND) for exclusive global rights for their four oncology-related products, ONTAK, Targretin capsules, Targretin gel 1% and Panretin gel 0.1%.
The transaction is subject to governmental approvals and is expected to close after certain preparation period. Eisai will pay U.S. $205 million for the acquisition, and offer Ligand personnel employment by Eisai Inc
