Deutsche Bank initiates coverage on LAN Airlines (NYSE: LFL) with a Hold. PT $27.00.

Deutsche analyst said, "As the birth of LATAM marks another chapter in the Latin American consolidation story, we believe that both LATAM and the industry stand to benefit. A less-fragmented competitive backdrop will better position Latin American airlines to profit from the significant growth opportunities in the region particularly LATAM with its ~35% share. However, we think LATAM will see near-term earnings risk given the ailing Brazilian market and unforeseen integration costs (e.g. LATAM recently lost its investment grade credit rating due to its increased debt load)."
