The Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) and AlliedBarton Security Services today announced a definitive agreement under which the private equity fund managed by The Blackstone Group will acquire AlliedBarton.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in August subject to certain government approvals and other customary conditions.
The Blackstone Group L.P., together with its subsidiaries, provides alternative asset management and financial advisory services worldwide.

Allied Barton
I am very surprised to see someone acquire Allied Barton, I hired them for a short period of time before I had to replace them. Their management is just as bad as the officers they hire. Trying to contact someone in management is like trying to reach the president of the United States. Bad Move!
bad company
On the surface allied Barton lookes like a good company to work for and to contract. But in fact the truth is the company does not care about there employees only there customers. Example:I worked at several sites where the management team said the awards given to the officers are not even worth the paper there printed on. Another incident managment would yell and curse at the officers .that is just a fraction of the issues the company Has.and the hr department wouldn't do anything about these issues that I and several officers brought to there attention creating a bad work environment. Think twice before conducting business with allied Barton security.

soon to be on Feb 15, 2009 10:07 PMTo the poster "bad company". I am about to work for Allied Barton and the posts that I have viewed on other website's have the same complaints. So, I did some checking and the only ones complaining are the people who have no writing ability! How can you complain about a company and your english sucks? I would have fired or released everyone that has posted a comment! I even read one complaint about never being contacted. Funny, I was contacted in 3 hours!! LOL!
