Despite positive housing data this morning, investors appear to have the Monday blues. Markets are lower across the board, with most major sectors seeing selling. Home Sales jumped 7.6% month-over-month in May, crushing expectations of 0.6 percent and up from April’s contraction of 1.2 percent.
SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE: SPY) is lower by 1.64 percent with the financial sector (NYSE: XLF) taking heat and trading lower by 2 percent. SPDR S&P Homebuilders ETF (NYSE: XHB) is also trading lower, down 1.4 percent in early trading on Monday.
