If we're going to talk climate change science, we need to talk about in scientific terms. The hypothesis is that humans are contributing heavily to climate change. Ok, how do we test this hypothesis? There are no tests to perform, other than the computer models that predict the future based on the past. To date, those models are flawed. The climate is not changing as rapidly as the models predict. That means the models must be changed. Once we hit on a model that works, then we observe the climate and compare it to the model. However, we're changing the conditions of the test. We've already begun to decrease carbon dioxide emissions, so how do we test the hypothesis with changing conditions...it can't be done! No one wants to wait for the models to be proven or dis-proven. Instead, politics gets involved and politicians say that we must act now to prevent the catastrophe that the observations are not supporting, but the incorrect models continue to purport. So we sign climate deals and blame the fossil fuel industry for creating a monster that hasn't been proven. Meanwhile, Edison is turning over in his grave.
