Westmoreland Coal (WLB) Appoints Richard M. Klingaman as Chairman
Westmoreland Coal Company (NYSE Amex: WLB) reported the results of its Annual Meeting of Stockholders held today.
Keith E. Alessi, Thomas J. Coffey and Michael R. D'Appolonia were elected to the Board of Directors by common stockholders. Richard M. Klingaman and William M. Stern were elected to the Board of Directors by holders of depositary shares.
At the Board of Directors meeting immediately following the Annual Meeting, Richard M. Klingaman was named Chairman of the Board. Mr. Klingaman has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2006. [SM]
