(NYSE: WHI) informed today that on January 30, 2009, Mr. Freddy Maldonado, Senior Executive Vice President and CFO for both the Company and the Bank, formally announced that he intends to resign and reengage in his retirement plans, retiring from the Company and the Bank, and as a director of the Company
The Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Lidio V. Soriano, the new CFO of the Company and the Bank, effective upon Mr. Maldonado's retirement, subject to receipt of regulatory approval.
