October 30, 2014 11:09 AM EDT

Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) shares are lower Thursday following news that the company is losing two key executives.

Bloomberg reported late Wednesday that Jeremy Gordon, VP of consumer product engineering and Adam Kinney, head of analytics, are both leaving Twitter.

Gordon joined Twitter two years ago and reported to engineering head, Alex Roetter.

Executive changes at Twitter haven't been a rarity. Earlier in 2014, the company replaced its CFO and consumer product chief, while also firing its COO.

Shares of Twitter are down 2.5 percent, but off of earlier lows.
