Sears Holdings (Nasdaq: SHLD) is losing a top executive, according to headlines out Wednesday.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting home appliances business President Dev Mukherjee will leave Sears by the end of the week. Mukherjee has been with Sears since November 2010.

Mukherjee -- who previously worked at Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and IBM (NYSE: IBM) -- will be the third appliance chief leaving the retail giant in four years, the Tribune said.

Just two weeks ago, Sears reported a quarterly loss of $2.4 billion, though Sears reported a profit following adjustments. Both the appliance and consumer electronics division at Sears dragged down results.

Shares of Sears are up a comfortable 1 percent Wednesday afternoon, not really seeing any increased volatility amid the reports.
