Sallie Mae (SLM) Hires Corporate Finance, Compliance Officers
Sallie Mae (NYSE: SLM) announced the appointments of Timothy Kitt, Jim Truitt and Harry (Gus) Zunino.
Kitt joins Sallie Mae as senior vice president, corporate finance. In this role, he will oversee the modeling, structuring and analysis of the company's asset-backed securities. Previously Kitt served in a variety of structured finance and capital markets roles at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and KPMG Peat Marwick LLP.
Truitt joins Sallie Mae as senior vice president and chief compliance officer. In this role, Truitt will oversee the company's regulatory compliance and controls activities. Previously Truitt served in a progression of risk management roles spanning a 22-year career at MBNA and Bank of America.
Zunino joins Sallie Mae as vice president, compliance. In this role, Zunino will assume responsibility for ensuring and monitoring the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Previously, Zunino served in a variety of compliance and operational risk management roles within retail banking at MBNA and Bank of America.
