Cablevision Systems (CVC) Appoints Todd Brecher to Sen. V.P. and Assoc. General Counsel - Business Affairs

Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) today announced the appointment of Todd Brecher to senior vice president and associate general counsel, business affairs.

In this position, Mr. Brecher will serve as Cablevision’s lead attorney on corporate transactions and other corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investments. He will report to David Ellen, Cablevision executive vice president and general counsel.

“Todd is a highly talented attorney with a strong record of accomplishment and he knows our industry well,” said Mr. Ellen. “We very much look forward to his significant contributions.”

Prior to joining Cablevision, Mr. Brecher worked for eight years at Time Warner Cable Inc., most recently as vice president and assistant chief counsel, corporate. In that role, he was Time Warner Cable’s primary lawyer for all significant mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions, including the acquisition with Comcast Corporation of Adelphia Communications’ cable systems; Time Warner Cable’s spin-off from Time Warner Inc.; and the company’s investments in Clearwire Communications and Canoe Ventures. Before that, Mr. Brecher held associate positions at various law firms including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Mr. Brecher holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. from Yale University.
