Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading cloud platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere, today announced the appointment of Jim Ebzery as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas. Based in Akamai's Cambridge, Mass. headquarters, Ebzery will lead sales, services and marketing operations across the Americas. He reports to Robert Hughes, Akamai's Executive Vice President of Global Sales, Services and Marketing.

Prior to his tenure at Novell, Ebzery held senior positions with companies including L-1 Identity Solutions, Viisage Technology and Internet Capital Group. He began his career with IBM Corporation where he held multiple sales, marketing and general management positions during a 17-year career.
