(Nasdaq: ICGN) 41% LOWER; reported that in a proof-of-concept, Phase IIa exercise-induced asthma study, senicapoc failed to demonstrate improvement in the primary study endpoints, including maximum decrease in FEV1, time to recovery of FEV1 after exercise and area under the FEV1 curve for sixty minutes.

Entropic Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENTR) 11.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.02, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter was $31.0 million, which compares to the estimate of $29.55 million.

Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN) 11.3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.17, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter was $115.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $109.19 million. Sees Q4 loss of $0.00-$0.07, versus $0.01 EPS. Sees Q4 revenues of $91-$95 million, versus the consensus of $108 million.

Baidu, Inc. (Nasdaq: BIDU) 11.1% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $2.16, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of $1.81. Revenue for the quarter was $187.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $187.79 million. Sees Q4 sales of $174-$180 million, versus the consensus of $202.9 million.

Winn-Dixie Stores (NASDAQ: WINN) 11% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.15, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter was $1.64 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.64 billion.

Ultra Clean Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: UCTT) 10.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 loss of $0.07, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.19). Revenue for the quarter was $41.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $33.20 million.

Limited Brands, Inc. (NYSE: LTD) 9.5% LOWER; today raised its outlook for Q3 earnings and 2009 free cash flow, and updated its guidance for October comparable store sales. The company is making this updated information available in advance of its previously announced Investor Update Meeting on Oct. 27. Raises its Q3 guidance from a loss of $0.07-$0.12 to breakeven to a loss of $0.04. The Street is currently looking for Q3 loss of $0. Free cash flow for FY09, defined as cash flow from operations less capital expenditures, is expected to be $500-$600 million, versus its previous estimate of $350-$450 million. Same store sales for October are expected to be negative low-to-mid single digits, versus its previous estimate of roughly flat.

Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ: RCII) 9.3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.55, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.51. Revenue for the quarter was $671.30 million, which compares to the estimate of $677.82 million. Sees Q4 revs of $662 - $677 million, versus $692.3 million previous. FY09 revs at $2.74 billion - $2.80 billion, versus previous estimate of $2.77 billion. FY10 EPS $2.30 - $2.50, versus $2.50 previous estimate.

lululemon athletica inc. (NASDAQ: LULU) 8% HIGHER; raised its third quarter guidance, reflecting stronger than anticipated net revenues for the quarter. For the third quarter of fiscal 2009, the Company now expects diluted earnings per share to be in the range of $0.17 to $0.19 as compared to its previous guidance range for diluted earnings per share of $0.11 to $0.13. The Company now expects net revenue to be in the range of $110 million to $112 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2009. This compares to the Company’s previous guidance of net revenue in the range of $95 million to $100 million for the quarter, and compares to net revenue of $87.0 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2008. Comparable-store sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2009 are expected to reflect a high-single digit increase on a constant-dollar basis compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2008.

Intevac, Inc. (NASDAQ: IVAC) 6.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.08, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.15). Revenue for the quarter was $19.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $17.90 million. Order backlog totaled $52.2 million on September 26, 2009, compared to $44.0 million on June 27, 2009 and $18.5 million on September 27, 2008.

Tandy Brands Accessories Inc. (TBAC) 4.9% HIGHER; reports Q4 loss of $0.13, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.13). Revenue for the quarter was $29.80 million, which compares to the estimate of $29.84 million. Sees Q1 revs of 37.3m, and Q1 EPS $0.11 to $0.17

Veeco Instruments Inc. (NASDAQ: VECO) 4.1% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.16, 15 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter was $98.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $86.43 million.

Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group (NYSE: DTG) 3.7% LOWER; reports Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $1.15 vs. the analyst estimate of $0.79. Revenue for the quarter was $438.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $458.20 million.

Health Management Associates, Inc. (NYSE: HMA) 3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.10, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was $1.12 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.13 billion.

Trident Microsystems (NASDAQ: TRID) 3% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.17, in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.17).
