Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS) announced the appointment of Rob Tarkoff to its Board of Directors to be effective on September 25, 2012. Mr. Tarkoff brings vast experience from the technology industry, specifically in SaaS solutions and digital media, to Advent's board.

Mr. Tarkoff is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lithium Technologies, a global company providing software that powers Social Customer Experiences for more than 350 iconic brands including AT&T (NYSE: T), BT (NYSE: BT), Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) and Skype. Prior to Lithium, Mr. Tarkoff served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Enterprise Solutions business at Adobe Systems (Nasdaq: ADBE).
