Tesla (TSLA) Subject of Another Dealership Lawsuit

Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) is the subject of more dealership litigation once again.
According to STLToday, the Missouri Auto Dealers Association has taken up a lawsuit against the Missouri Department of Revenue and its director, Nia Ray. The suit is over Tesla's ability to sell its electric vehicles directly to customers, versus using the dealership model.
The MADA claims that MDOT issuing Tesla a dealers' license is against state law.
Tesla opened its University City service center in 2013 following issuance of the license. The company subsequently added various charging stations around the state and opened a store in Kansas City, as well.
Tesla says there are currently just 200 Model S sedans in the state of Missouri.
Shares of Tesla are lower in early trading.
