Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) shares are higher amid reports Wednesday the company wants to block yet another competitor.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is seeking an emergency order from the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) to block U.S. imports of HTC phones and tablets which run on Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android platform.

The move follows an exclusion order from a previous ruling between Apple and HTC over data-collection technology. The exclusion order was issued last December.

HTC released at statement saying, "TC has completed the review process with U.S. Customs and HTC devices have been released, as they are in compliance with the ITC’s ruling."

Apple shares are trading 1.5 percent higher Wednesday afternoon.
