Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 3G and iPhone 2.5 has many of the same suppliers. Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) is still supplying the touchscreen controller. The WiFi socket went again to Marvell Technologies (Nasdaq: MRVL). However, Broadcom was speculated to be providing the 3G chip, but after inspecting the insides of the 3G iPhone, it appears Broadcom did not supply the chip.

Companies that will generate more revenue per 3G iPhone SOLD versus iPhone 2.5, include: Infineon (NYSE: IFX), Broadcom, Toshiba, Triquint Semiconductor (Nasdaq: TQNT).
