Why No Insider Buying At Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs (MS, GS)?

October 10, 2008 11:57 AM EDT

With Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) in free-fall, one has to ask "Why aren't there any insider purchases of the stock?"

Maybe they know something that we don't. These are supposed to be the best and the brightest, yet they won't touch their own stock.

Come on Johh Mack and Lloyd Blankfein, buy your own stock. Only you can instill the much needed confidence.

MS is down 39% and GS is down 23%.

Confidence could have been provided had MS just bought their own stock today, down almost 40% at its low..All the CEO had to do was buy some stock!

gs people already have tons of gs stocks. they don't really know what to do with them. they are over exposed already. buying more of your overloaded gs stocks won't help.

Didn't Lloyd just sign a contract with Buffet agreeing not to sell his 3mm shares of Goldman?? Besides, aren't there any internal insider trading restrictions going on??
