Over the weekend, several Wal-mart (NYSE: WMT) stores received bomb threats. According to local reports from ABCNews, so far a total of eight Missouri stores were threatened. Fredricktown Police Chief Eric Hovis said he thinks threats are related.

He described the threats as an automated call. A voice on the call stated: “There’s a bomb in the building. You have two hours to get everyone out of the store. This is not a joke.”

During the investigation, police found no evidence of explosives. Walmart spokesman Dan Fogleman released a statement to ABC News regarding the threats:

"We're concerned anytime someone makes a threat that might endanger our customers and associates," he said. "We're grateful no one was injured. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience. We want to make sure everyone stays safe."

Shares of Wal-mart are flat in early trading Monday morning.
