Verizon (VZ) at Intraday Highs Amid 41,000 Pensioners Suing Over $7.5B Liability Transfer

Amid Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) retirees announcing plans to sue the company over its proposed sale of $7.5 billion in obligations to Prudential (NYSE: PRU), Verizon shares are at an intraday high Thursday afternoon.

According to the release, the sale will affect 41,000 former employees ERISA protection. More here.

The stock is up over 0.8 percent on the session.
