Yesterday, computer glitches at United Airlines (NYSE: UAL) frustrated passengers and snarled airline traffic. The glitch caused hundreds of flight delays at airports around the world.
This wasn't the first time techies at United have dropped the ball. A similar glitch in March caused comparable levels of frustrations. The March glitch was blamed on the recent integration of Continental's reservation platforms.
United has not provided clarity on the recent problems, but the company issued waivers allowing affected customers to cancel or rebook without penalty.
