UPDATE: Tesla (TSLA) Deliveries in Norway Rose ~250% During March

Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) is having a spectacular run in Norway.

Looking at the latest data from Norway's Grønn Bil (Green Car), we see that Tesla deliveries in March totaled 1,494 units, easily outpacing the next-closest competitor, Nissan, which delivered 581 units (presumably, of its Nissan LEAF electric vehicle).

Total EV deliveries in March 2014 for Norway were 3,320 units, according to Grønn Bil data.

Year-to-date, Tesla deliveries were 2,057 units, versus 6,517 total EV deliveries in Norway over the same time frame.

March 2014 was, by far, the best month for Tesla deliveries in Norway. The company had 553 last December, 527 last November, and 431 in February 2014.

Total deliveries in Norway for Tesla came to 1,991 in all of 2013.

UPDATE - According to one blog post, total vehicle deliveries in March 2014 for Norway were 36,492 units and Tesla has around 10.8 percent of the country's entire car market.

Shares of Tesla are up 1.4 percent Wednesday morning.
