Knight Capital (NYSE: KCG) CEO Tom Joyce, speaking on CNBC Monday, said the firm is doing its own internal investigation following the trading gaffe realized last Wednesday. He also noted that a confident deal was shareholders best option.
Joyce spoke with the U.S. SEC chairperson Mary Schapiro and supported her decision on the erroneous trades. He has had no contact with members of Congress.
Shares are down over 30 percent in early trading.
