Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) shares are lower Monday amid speculation of who might become the company's next CEO.
Jack Dorsey, who currently serves as interim CEO at Twitter, also is CEO at Square. Square confidentially filed for an IPO with the U.S. SEC last week, which should basically take Dorsey out of running for the permanent position.
Sources told the NY Post that global revenue president Adam Bain is the top candidate for the role.
Formber DoubleClick CEO and current Twitter board member David Rosenblatt might also want the job. There's also several other board members that have previously been CEO or may want the role.
Shares of Twitter are down 3.6 percent.
