TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq: TQNT) shares are higher Friday amid disclosure of an insider transaction made over three sessions this week.
According to a Form 4 filed with the U.S. SEC after the market closed on Thursday, Director C. Scott Gibson acquired 6,500 shares from May 8th through 10th. Total value on the transactions was about $32,000.
Though it may not seem like a lot, the purchases brought Gibson's stake 25 percent higher to 32,943 shares.
TriQuint volatility is also up about 6 percent from Thursday's close, no doubt due in part to positive sentiment in the tech sector today.
