Will Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) top consensus views? And if so, by how much?
The folks over at Estimize have a consensus. According to 93 participants, Apple will report fiscal third-quarter EPS of $7.60 on revenue of $36.02 billion. By comparison, the Street sees EPS of $7.31 and revs of $35.13 billion.
By its own accord Estimize says that it beats out Wall Street estimates 70 percent of the time. In this case, that means plenty of Apple upside should the standard hold and 70 percent is leagues better than 51 percent.
Following Verizon's (NYSE: VZ) quarterly results on Thursday, analysts began chirping about how well Apple will do this quarter. You can read more from Wells Fargo here and Barclays here.
One thing Estimize doesn't get into is numbers for devices, unless a participant puts in their own two cents on the comment line. Wall Street is generally looking for iPhone shipments in the mid- to upper-20 million unit range.
Into the open Friday, Apple is indicated for a lower open.
