Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) has been one of the hottest companies around over the past year or so. And one firm thinks that it has gained the most cultural traction
amongst its peers.
The WSJ noted a survey by WPP (Nasdaq: WPPGY)-owned Added Value in saying that Tesla beat names like Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) and Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) as the most culturally vibrant brand in 2014.
The survey asked 7,500 U.S. respondents to rate how visionary, inspiring, bold, and exciting a company is. The survey covered more than 70 brands in 14 sectors.
Adde Value said, the brands with the most cultural traction this year tended to provide consumers with a more engaging brand experience, helped foster closer connections and facilitated ways for consumers to make a meaningful impact.
The list for 2014 is as follows:
- Tesla
- Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN)
- Apple
- Samsung
- Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT)
- Etsy
- Nike (NYSE: NKE)
- Ford (NYSE: F)
- Coca Cola (NYSE: KO)
