Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk rebuked a recent report that the company has signed an agreement for a massive production facility in China.
The following was posted to Twitter on Monday morning:
@newsycombinator @mashable We haven't signed anything for a factory in China
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 27, 2016
Notably, Musk said that Tesla hasn't signed anything "for a factory yet." That doesn't mean the company isn't already in other production-related agreements for China, but that is just speculation from us.
Shares of Tesla are down over 1 percent, but off of earlier lows.
