Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) says its base Model X SUV will cost $80,000.
The price is for the Model X 70D and only those that place a $5,000 reservation will get to access the design page. Pricing on other Model X versions hasn't been announced, but speculation has the Model X 90D running $95,500 before incentives, while the high-performance Model X P90D will cost around $115,500 without incentives.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk previously said the Model X will cost around $5,000 more than a comparable MS sedan.
Below is a rather blurry image of what the Model X design page currently looks like. Shares of Tesla are indicated for a lower open.
