Another new video was highlighted recently of Tesla's (Nasdaq: TSLA) energy storage unit for residential customers.
The video is of a man highlighting how the storage unit is able to power his entire house amid a blackout in Norther California. The unit was installed in conjunction with solar panels and an inverter from SolarCity (Nasdaq: SCTY), which Tesla CEO Elon Musk also chairs.
The description of the video has Tesla's residential battery pack only available to SolarCity customers at this point, though that might change once Tesla holds its April 30th event.
Notably, testing with select customers is said to have been going on for about two years.
The video is below. There is some narration (it's safe for the workplace) and the battery unit is highlighted towards the end if you want to skip ahead.
