Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) is shares are slumping slightly as the company's official website shows it may be selling the new Verismo brewer at a discount.

The Verismo 580 line (all 4-star rated!) is $50 cheaper at $149.00 each while the V•585 brewer is discounted $100 to $299.00.

It's not clear whether this is special holiday pricing or all around pricing.

Taking a quick look at Green Mountain's (Nasdaq: GMCR) website, the VUE line -- including the V600 and V700 -- are regularly priced at $209.99 and $229.99, respectively. Traders will be anxious to see if Green Mountain will respond to the stealthy price drop by Starbucks.

Both are lower in early trading Thursday.
