Standard Pacific Corp (NYSE: SPF) shares are ripping higher Wednesday as investors got a fresh look at the company's 10-Q filed with the U.S. SEC late Tuesday. On Monday, the firm reported a first-quarter earnings beat by one cent per share.
Market data shows implied volatility up 13.5 percent from Tuesday's close and about in-line with its historical average. Volume is heavy on the move higher today.
Shares are up 9.5 percent in afternoon trade, though coming off of hitting a 52-week high at $5.59.
