Speculation Swirls Ahead of Tomorrow's 'D' Announcement from Tesla Motors (TSLA) (MBLY)

Last week, Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk teased that on October 9 the company will "unveil the D and something else". It is widely expected that the "D" refers to dual motors in an AWD Model S. The something else could refer to Driver assist features, powered by Mobileye N.V. (NYSE: MBLY).

Ahead of the event, Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry published pictures of a recently manufactured Tesla Model S, equipped with Semi-Autonomous-Driver-Assistance System (SADAS). Pictures (below) show a RADAR Sensor in the Front Grille of Tesla Model S.

A second photo shows 2 Cameras and a triangular sensor on the rear view mirror.

Chowdhry notes that as of October 07'2014, SADAS system on the new Tesla Model S has not been activated. The new Tesla Model S is equipped with SADAS Hardware, but probably may be activated Over-the-Air, after the Tesla's October 9th Event.
