Speculated Site of Apple's (AAPL) Upcoming iPhone Event All but Confirmed

Following recent speculation, some sources have confirmed that Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) will be hosting its upcoming iPhone event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, Cali.

Hoodline is the latest blog to affirm speculation.

Street closures are expected around the area starting on September 8th and running through late September 10th, which would coincide with rumors that Apple will host an event on September 9th.

The event is expected to be much bigger than ever before, literally, with the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium having capacity for 7,000 people. Previously, Apple held events at the Yerba Buena Center in San Fran (capacity: 1,470) and the Flint Center in Cupertino, Ca. (capacity: 2,400).

Shares of Apple are positive in early trading.
