Sony (SNE) Opts for AMD (AMD) to Power Next Gaming Console; May Have Optical Drive - WSJ

According to headlines from the WSJ, Sony (NYSE: SNE) has opted to use Advanced Micro (NYSE: AMD) microprocessors and graphic processors in its next console.
Sources also indicated that Sony considered a video game console without an optical disk drive, but ultimately decided to shelve plans to rely solely on digital game downloads.
Shares of Sony are off 3.5 percent while AMD is down 2.3 percent on the session.
